Homework

Good afternoon everybody,

I have decided to post the homework on the blog. Students will be given a copy in class, but there have been many times when a student comes to me and the following scenario is played out:

Old scenario
Mr Seeney: Have you completed your homework this week?
Student: No, I couldn't do it because I lost it/ No, I was away when it was handed out.

New scenario
Mr Seeney: Have you completed your homework?
Student: No, I lost it so I was not able to complete it/ No I was away when it was handed out.
Mr Seeney: Yes, but the homework is on the blog so now you can access it any time.

I want both being absent and losing homework to no longer be an issue for the students.

Enjoy!

Reading
ü  Tick when completed
Choose a book or borrow one from the library. Spend 10 minutes each day reading your book! After each chapter, write down 3 important points from the chapter!

Spelling

Practise this week’s spelling words three times a week.

Maths

Complete your Mathletics tasks!

Handwriting and writing

Think back to the story The Bitter Pill. The King devised a plan to catch out the counsellors who were always agreeing with him regardless of what they really thought. Write a story about how your counsellors are always agreeing with your decisions. What plan could you come up with to make sure they are telling you the truth?

Science

Work on your science project. See attached information.
